DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain environments based on Linux systems

• Provide support and troubleshoot containerized applications utilizing Docker and Podman

• Investigate and resolve production incidents along with platform-related issues

• Support hybrid deployments in both private and public cloud environments

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of the platform

• Develop, sustain, and enhance automation scripts using Bash

• Design and refine CI/CD pipelines to optimize software delivery

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at infrastructure automation and operational efficiency

• Advocate for DevOps best practices throughout the platform ecosystem

• Maintain and upgrade monitoring, logging, and alerting systems

• Construct and support dashboards and telemetry systems

• Proactively identify issues related to performance bottlenecks and reliability risks

• Enhance observability features for critical business applications

• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and infrastructure teams on deployment and modernization projects

• Assist in the migration and transformation of legacy systems

• Contribute to projects aimed at platform enhancement and cloud adoption strategies

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Linux environments

• Practical experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman

• Advanced skills in Bash scripting, capable of developing and maintaining intricate automation scripts

• Familiarity with AWS services and managing hybrid deployments across private and public cloud environments

• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, encompassing network interfaces, routing, connectivity, and performance troubleshooting

• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, or similar technologies

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or equivalent solutions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Delivery-focused mindset prioritizing reliability and continuous improvement

• Proficient level of English (both written and spoken)

• Development experience in C# or Java, along with an understanding of .NET or JVM-based applications

• Experience in application lifecycle management and operational support

• Familiarity with Linux CPU architecture, memory management, and performance tuning

• Experience in migrating and modernizing large legacy platforms

• Experience in designing and implementing complex deployment pipelines

• Experience in managing and supporting self-hosted tools and infrastructure services
