DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Assist in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of a vital pricing generation and distribution system for Fixed Income products.

• Guarantee platform reliability and enhance deployment processes.

• Lead automation initiatives while supporting both cloud-native and legacy workloads.

• Oversee and maintain Linux-based environments.

• Provide support and troubleshoot containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Podman.

• Investigate and resolve production incidents and platform-related issues.

• Facilitate hybrid deployments across private and public cloud environments.

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of the platform.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Bash automation scripts.

• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at infrastructure automation and operational efficiency.

• Advocate for DevOps best practices across the platform ecosystem.

• Maintain and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

• Construct and support dashboards and telemetry systems.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability risks.

• Enhance observability for business-critical applications.

• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and infrastructure teams on deployment and modernization efforts.

• Assist in the migration and transformation of legacy systems.

• Contribute to projects focused on platform improvement and cloud adoption strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Linux environments.

• Practical knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Podman.

• Advanced skills in Bash scripting, including the capability to develop and maintain intricate automation scripts.

• Experience with AWS services and managing hybrid deployments across both private and public cloud environments.

• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, including network interfaces, routing, connectivity, and performance troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or equivalent solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Delivery-oriented mindset with an emphasis on reliability and continuous improvement.

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

• Development experience in C# or Java, with an understanding of .NET or JVM-based applications (preferred).

• Experience with application lifecycle management and operational support (preferred).

• Knowledge of Linux CPU architecture, memory management, and performance tuning (preferred).

• Experience in migrating and modernizing substantial legacy platforms (preferred).

• Proven track record in designing and implementing complex deployment pipelines (preferred).

• Experience managing and supporting self-hosted tooling and infrastructure services (preferred).
