DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support for software created by all development teams within the company, including development platforms, application compilation, and application deployment.

• Serve as a liaison between software development and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment of project requirements.

• Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes that support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Facilitate and promote communication across teams.

• Take ownership of systems and service monitoring.

• Manage software deployments.

• Organize and implement deployment activities.

• Utilize Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to gather issues related to deployments.

• Establish release structures.

• Execute code deployments.

• Research and develop proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies and processes.

• Enhance and support the SDLC.

• Act as a resource for knowledge regarding appropriate contacts when issues arise.

• Document processes, technologies, and tools for future reference and supportability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, or Texas.

• Demonstrated experience in CI/CD, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles.

• Extensive experience with Git or similar version control systems.

• Strong background in systems or service monitoring tools and methodologies.

• Understanding of TCP/IP Networking.

• Familiarity with Linux server administration.

• Experience with Windows server administration.

• Knowledge of various operating systems.

• Proficient in VM administration.

• Understanding of web technologies, including client/server/API/load balancers/certificates.

• Experience with integration frameworks such as Selenium and Appium.

• Exposure to .NET Framework/Core is preferred.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools like Octopus, Jenkins, and TeamCity.

• Experience in automation and orchestration with tools like Ansible, Chef, and Puppet is a plus.

• Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Development experience as part of a team.

• Knowledge of Python and Node.js is a plus.

• Understanding of QA testing and related concepts.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of IT engineering experience in an enterprise environment.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
