DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Manage, operate, and evolve container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, and/or EKS.

• Design and maintain automation and Day 2 operational processes.

• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.

• Develop automation scripts and tools with Python and Shell Script.

• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.

• Oversee deployments, upgrades, configurations, backups, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex incidents.

• Monitor the health, capacity, performance, and availability of platforms.

• Proactively analyze issues and define preventive and improvement actions.

• Collaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.

• Define and implement operational, security, automation, and documentation standards.

• Serve as a technical reference and assist other team members.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the technological evolution of the managed platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE, preferably in managed service environments.

• Solid experience in administering and operating Kubernetes and/or OpenShift in production environments.

• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD and practical experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools.

• Experience with Git and continuous integration and deployment methodologies.

• Experience in Day 2 automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.

• Strong proficiency in Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.

• Scripting and automation skills with Python and/or Shell Script.

• Experience working in hybrid, on-premise, and cloud environments.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed and containerized platforms.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with various teams.

• Automation mindset focused on continuous improvement and service quality.

• Experience with backup and recovery solutions for Kubernetes, such as Velero or Kasten.

• Knowledge of storage solutions in container platforms such as ODF, Rook/Ceph, CSI, etc.

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.

• Familiarity with logging platforms such as Elastic Stack / Elasticsearch.

• Knowledge of security applied to containers and Kubernetes platforms.

• Experience in high availability and 24x7 production environments.

• Previous experience in technical leadership, team coordination, or service management.
