Development Manager – Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a team of engineers, offering technical guidance, mentorship, and consistent feedback.

• Take charge of delivery outcomes within the defined scope, provide realistic estimates, and clearly communicate capacity and priority tradeoffs.

• Assign responsibilities to engineers and, as the team expands, to team leads; differentiate between immediate delivery goals and long-term capability enhancement.

• Collaborate with Product Management to establish priorities, plan deliveries, and convert customer requirements into integration functionalities.

• Supervise the design, development, and maintenance of integrations, which include connectors, an Integrations Store, data mapping and synchronization, secure credential management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery processes.

• Direct technical decisions from solution design through to development and deployment in production, ensuring alignment on architectural and security choices.

• Create reusable integration patterns that address retries, rate limits, duplicate events, and API version updates.

• Manage automated pipelines for the building, testing, validating, and deploying of integrations.

• Enhance the reliability, performance, and observability of integrations while leading the resolution of production issues.

• Coordinate with engineering teams and external partners regarding dependencies and compatibility issues.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance integration development, testing, or support, ensuring proper validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading software engineers and overseeing the delivery and operation of production systems.

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering with the capacity to contribute to technical problem-solving.

• In-depth knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Experience in building and managing AWS services in a production environment.

• Practical experience in designing and maintaining APIs and integrations with third-party systems.

• Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, data consistency, and failure recovery mechanisms.

• Proficient in SQL with experience in data modeling, aggregation, and query optimization.

• Familiarity with secure authentication and authorization methods for integrations.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to align engineering tasks with product objectives.

• Professional proficiency in English for leading an English-speaking team and collaborating cross-functionally.
