Development Manager – Initiatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee software development while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

• Uphold robust Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Offer technical expertise on architecture, infrastructure, and system design utilizing AI-assisted development tools.

• Spearhead AI innovation efforts, including the creation of prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and assessment of new AI technologies.

• Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Supervise, mentor, and provide technical direction to an offshore development team.

• Set objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.

• Enhance team capabilities in software development, AI, and cutting-edge technologies.

• Ensure that software and AI solutions adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards.

• Utilize knowledge of PII, security integrations, and SOC audits throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Align technology and development strategies with business goals and revenue targets.

• Recognize emerging technologies and opportunities that foster innovation and enhance business value.

• Promote data-driven decision-making and ensure that technology investments yield measurable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related technical or analytical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in AI, software development, technology innovation, or a comparable area.

• Proven experience in prototyping and developing software solutions utilizing AI tools and AI-assisted development technologies.

• Strong practical understanding of AI and AI agentic development tools (AI DLC).

• Experience in leading, mentoring, or managing a team focused on technical or innovative initiatives.

• Knowledge of software security, PII, security integrations, SOC audits, and associated compliance aspects.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Proficiency in a hands-on environment and ability to swiftly move from concept to prototype.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.

• Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is an advantage.
