Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee ground-mounted solar and large-scale battery storage initiatives in North-East Germany, guiding them to successful completion.

• Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key regional stakeholders.

• Initiate development planning processes in collaboration with local authorities.

• Advance projects to the ready-to-build (RTB) phase.

• Identify and secure project locations.

• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including municipalities, authorities, agricultural cooperatives, and landowners.

• Lead the development planning and building permit processes.

• Supervise external consultants and third-party service providers.

• Identify mergers and acquisitions opportunities for solar and battery storage projects.

• Collaborate with regional management and technical specialists.

• Coordinate with project development, grid, planning, legal, GIS, and other specialized departments.

• Several years of experience in project development for ground-mounted solar, large-scale battery storage, or wind projects within Germany.

• Proficient in utilizing project management tools and financial models.

• Comprehensive understanding of the German renewable energy market coupled with a robust network.

• Strong determination and motivation.

• Tenacity in achieving objectives.

• Highly organized with a strong ambition to succeed.

• Capability to build and maintain effective networks both internally and externally.

• Competence in managing challenging situations during high-pressure project stages.

• Exceptional negotiation abilities.

• Solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.

• Proficient communication skills in German.

• Ideally, capable of communicating in English.

• Diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in a relevant field.
