This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the main administrative support for the Vice President of the Development department while also providing additional assistance to other departmental staff.
• Organize and coordinate logistics for both remote and in-person meetings within the Development department.
• Manage travel arrangements and logistics for fundraising staff during group meetings as required.
• Aid in tracking deadlines for internal reports and communication deliverables.
• Collaborate with the AR Accountant to oversee the integration of gift processing in Raiser’s Edge.
• Generate donor acknowledgment letters and other stewardship communications.
• Ensure accurate and consistent document filing within the department's SharePoint.
• Act as the primary contact for incoming calls, emails, and inquiries directed to the Development department.
• Assess and prioritize urgent requests effectively.
• Assist the Vice President of Development with tracking donor engagement and Moves Management in Raiser’s Edge.
• Coordinate meetings and travel, manage communications and reporting, support donor stewardship initiatives, and maintain organized systems for fundraising and donor engagement operations.
• A Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant work experience, OR an Associate degree in the same areas with 2 years of relevant experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant work experience may include both paid and unpaid administrative roles that involve customer service, data entry, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, and collaborating with various departments.
• A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience supporting executives, fundraisers, or professionals in client-facing roles within nonprofit fundraising or development.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and donor database systems, particularly Raiser’s Edge.
• Must have TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and meet any additional state or federal licensing or certification requirements.
• Residency in California is required.
• Excellent written communication and professional correspondence abilities.
• Capability to interact effectively with donors, executives, board members, and community boards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding donor information and comply with ethical fundraising standards.
• Ability to anticipate needs and work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam.
