Developer, APIs & Microservices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs following security, performance, and scalability standards.

• Implement and maintain decoupled, business-oriented microservices.

• Integrate applications through both internal and external APIs.

• Collaborate with frontend teams, QA, DevOps, and software architects.

• Apply best practices for versioning, documentation, and API testing.

• Identify and resolve performance, security, and availability issues.

• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement sessions.

• Document services using Swagger / OpenAPI.

• Ensure compliance with quality guidelines and corporate standards.

• Analyze, design, and develop technological solutions for Capgemini clients.

• Participate in the implementation and integration of innovative solutions and systems.

• Collaborate with functional, technical, and business specialists.

• Contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering valuable services and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in backend development.

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java / Spring Boot, Node.js (NestJS / Express), .NET Core.

• Strong experience in REST API development.

• Practical knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server.

• Familiarity with non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Redis (desired).

• Proficient in version control using Git.

• Experience with Docker containers.

• Basic knowledge of API security: OAuth2, JWT, authentication/authorization.

• Familiarity with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, or GCP (desired).

• Experience working under agile methodologies: Scrum / Kanban.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

• Clear and effective communication skills.

• Autonomy and responsibility in task delivery.
