Desk Property Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of homeowners' property claims from inception to resolution.

• Verify loss facts, ascertain coverage, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements within designated authority limits.

• Oversee the entire claim lifecycle, encompassing supplements, Additional Living Expense claims, contents, and personal property losses.

• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers throughout the claims process.

• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to manage claims accurately and efficiently.

• Support claim volume across the New England region, with the possibility of additional states assigned based on business needs.

• Leverage extensive experience or rotate into specialized areas such as coverage, investigation, litigation, large loss, water mitigation, or desk review.

• Collaborate with fraud and subrogation representatives on relevant claims.

• Recognize components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.

• Identify complex customer needs and address them utilizing appropriate customer service skills.

• Evaluate subrogation or fraud potential and determine the handling approach.

• Manage intricate homeowners first-party claims involving coverage, damages, and subrogation with discretion and independence.

• No supervisory responsibilities involved.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Property Desk Adjuster.

• Ideally located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

• Proficient in Xactimate software.

• Strong background in claims handling, including supplements, Additional Living Expenses, contents, and complete claim ownership.

• Preferably experienced in managing claims in both field and desk settings.

• Active adjuster license or a license that qualifies for reciprocity in relevant states is strongly preferred.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Must cancel existing insurance license appointments before onboarding and must not maintain outside appointments during employment.

• Resident producer license holders are required to surrender their license when directed by the licensing team.

• Must have a dedicated, distraction-free home workspace.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.
