Design System Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold Design System components utilizing best practices in frontend development.

• Collaborate with Product Designers and Product Managers to ensure user interfaces are consistent and of high quality.

• Address accessibility concerns and guarantee that all components comply with WCAG standards.

• Document foundational elements and components, while maintaining an exceptional developer experience.

• Perform code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards.

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues, ensuring prompt solutions and optimal performance.

• Contribute to the stabilization of visual tests and the automation of development processes.

• Assist other teams in adopting the Design System and in the creation of shared components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of HTML.

• Strong understanding of CSS, preferably with SASS2.

• Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards as they apply to frontend development.

• Solid knowledge of Design Systems and component libraries.

• Adept in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.

• Familiarity with UX and design principles as they relate to frontend development.

• Knowledgeable in testing strategies and frontend testing.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in maintaining and creating documentation.

• Willingness to learn new technologies such as Elm and Web Components.

• Professional experience with Elm (preferred but not required).

• Professional experience with Web Components (preferred but not required).

• Professional experience with Design Tokens (preferred but not required).
