Design Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Execute fundamental design engineering responsibilities for both underground and overhead electrical distribution initiatives utilizing design software.

• Prepare, oversee, and uphold necessary permits in accordance with project requirements.

• Coordinate workload and project schedules effectively.

• Support the creation of plans, specifications, reports, diagrams, and engineering documents from initial scope through to construction phase.

• Carry out field inspections, collect project data, and ensure construction coordination and validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in electric distribution design with experience in drafting and/or CAD design activities.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, O-Cal, and SpidaCalc.

• Familiarity with GIS mapping software.

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

• Technical degree or advanced education, training, or certifications pertinent to engineering design projects (preferred).
