This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Oversee the complete design delivery process of building systems, major packages, or specific project phases, from initial brief to construction support and commissioning handover.
• Direct external design consultants and collaborate with developers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and internal cross-functional teams in accordance with Iron Mountain standards.
• Develop package-level design strategies, deliverables, decision timelines, and review checkpoints.
• Regularly evaluate risks and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Deliver precise design reporting.
• Assist with site due diligence and permitting processes.
• Ensure compliance with global standards.
• Guide and mentor junior team members.
• Generally, 5–9 years of pertinent experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex, service-oriented technical environments.
• Proficient understanding of multidisciplinary data center design, encompassing mechanical, electrical, controls, architectural, and civil disciplines.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and permitting procedures.
• Commercial insight to weigh design decisions against capital expenditures.
• Excellent negotiation, writing, and presentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
