Design Lead – Architect, Manhattan Active WM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the functional solution design for Manhattan Active WM implementations and enhancements to templates.

• Conduct Fit-to-Template and GAP analyses to evaluate the use of standard functionality, configuration, process adjustments, integration, or extensions.

• Safeguard the global template by questioning unnecessary customizations and integrating recurring requirements into reusable functionalities.

• Convert approved designs into configuration requirements and specifications for extensions.

• Provide guidance to configurators and extension engineers during the go-live phase.

• Transform operational requirements into formal functional designs and solution specifications.

• Develop solution designs, functional and enhancement designs, proof of concepts, integration designs for Host/Automation/MHE, configuration documents, workflow documentation, use cases, and reporting requirements.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the global Manhattan Active template.

• Implement design principles, configuration guardrails, and architectural standards.

• Assist with functional change requests, impact assessments, and the template roadmap; raise any deviations.

• Evaluate configuration strategies and technical designs against the intended business processes.

• Configure MAWM flows, MHE mappings, and integration points.

• Analyze the impacts of enhancements across MAWM, integrations, warehouse automation, reporting, and extensions.

• Establish functional acceptance criteria and critical end-to-end test scenarios.

• Support QA, SIT, and UAT, and lead the resolution of functional issues through the go-live and stabilization phases.

• Conduct design workshops, document decisions, and mentor super users and configurators.

• Work during US Eastern or Central business hours and travel up to 40%, including international trips to Latin America.

• Report directly to the SVP of Enterprise Systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in WMS/OMS solution design, functional architecture, product consulting, or implementation.

• Strong hands-on functional expertise with Manhattan Active WM, including its configuration concepts, capabilities, and limitations.

• Experience in designing complex integrations, including a working knowledge of APIs and extension development along with their functional implications.

• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes such as receiving, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping.

• Demonstrated experience with Fit-to-Template and GAP analysis.

• Extensive knowledge of functional and integration orchestration across various systems including WMS, WES, ASRS, AMR, GTP, WCS, ERP, OMS, LMS, TMS, and Parcel Management systems.

• Experience in designing WMS for retail distribution centers, eCommerce fulfillment centers, omnichannel fulfillment centers, and 3PL facilities.

• Proven experience supporting implementations from design through testing, deployment, and stabilization.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
