Deputy Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing the ISSO Support Department

• Ensure security compliance, maintain documentation accuracy, and oversee continuous monitoring for DoS systems

• Supervise POA&M tracking, updates to RMF documentation, maintenance of vulnerability status, preparation for audits, and coordination with system owners

• Provide support for operations in the ISSO Support Department

• Serve as the second-in-command to the PM for ISSO support operations

• Facilitate daily task assignments for the team

• Monitor team workload and ensure standards of quality control

• Ensure operational continuity across ISSOs during escalations or urgent compliance tasks

• Manage the workflow of POA&M

• Verify the quality of documentation

• Oversee daily tasking and performance management for ISSOs

• Ensure adherence to SOPs and enhance workflows

• Coordinate audits, reviews, and engagements with system owners

• Assist in maintaining systems' compliance with FISMA and NIST requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT program coordination

• Familiarity with FISMA

• Understanding of NIST SP 800-53

• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37

• PMP or an equivalent certification is required

• Must possess a minimum Secret security clearance

• Capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any field
