This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the deputy to the program manager for the delivery of government contracts.
• Oversee personnel in the project management office and/or regional or installation-level field staff.
• Assist in the operational planning and execution of projects.
• Provide operational assistance for reporting, task completion, presentations, contract management, communication, scheduling, and assigned functions.
• Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, success factors, and metrics.
• Develop, implement, and update project work plans.
• Determine resource requirements and assign responsibilities accordingly.
• Manage daily project operations and scope, including facilitating meetings and maintaining documentation.
• Evaluate team deliverables prior to submission.
• Prepare project reviews and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed.
• Analyze program data and metrics, contributing to high-level reports for corporate and government leadership.
• Identify and escalate project risks and issues as they arise.
• Ensure complete, current, and well-organized project documentation is maintained.
• Keep project teams updated on organizational changes and corporate news impacting project scope.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive project activity reports and dashboards.
• Deliver engaging, informative, and well-structured presentations.
• Conduct lessons learned sessions and enhance processes.
• Contribute to and uphold project management policies, guidelines, and best practices.
• Assist with resource management and project financial documentation.
• Engage in strategy and growth initiatives, including solutions, proposals, staffing estimates, and new business opportunities.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of military service, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Proven experience managing and overseeing projects within military or government settings.
• Background in functional support roles with collaborative interactions involving military or government personnel.
• Minimum of one year experience in a DoD or VA health-related environment.
• Ability to influence and motivate others to work collaboratively.
• Exceptional writing, editing, analytical, and proofreading abilities.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to work at all organizational levels, including Magellan, DoD, and Military.
• Skilled in prioritizing and organizing multiple projects effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while maintaining critical and strategic thinking and consultation skills.
• Competence in presenting information and materials professionally on behalf of the U.S. government.
• Must be eligible for DoD security clearance and access to DoD systems if contractually required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High level of customer service is essential.
