Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and provide support for software solutions within customer environments.

• Ensure pre-deployment readiness and conduct post-deployment validation.

• Collaborate with Agile development teams and internal stakeholders to create secure and scalable technical solutions.

• Act as the technical liaison for customers during the deployment and onboarding process.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to applications, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms.

• Implement and manage environments through automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Create deployment guides, runbooks, installation procedures, technical documentation, and architecture diagrams.

• Engage in incident response, root-cause analysis, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Conduct Mobile Forensic activities in the Cellebrite lab and/or at customer locations.

• Provide support to customers mainly in the DACH region and other EMEA countries as required.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional proficiency in both English and German.

• Demonstrated experience in Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP models, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and secure connectivity.

• Familiarity with virtualization environments such as VMware, Nutanix, or Proxmox.

• Solid understanding of security and cryptography, including encryption, PKI, certificates, key management, TLS/SSL, SSH, and IPSec.

• Experience with API-based integrations utilizing REST/SOAP and webhooks.

• Proficient in API tools like Postman and Swagger.

• Knowledge of container and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or SQL.

• Practical cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• At least 2 years of experience in Deployment Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or a similar technical role.

• Minimum of 2 years of system administration experience within Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

• A minimum of 2 years of networking experience in enterprise or customer-facing roles.

• Experience in delivering solutions within regulated or government environments is preferred.

• Experience in supporting high-availability, always-on services with established service-level expectations is preferred.

• Ability to train and onboard end users after deployment is preferred.
