Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance delivery governance practices across the department.

• Perform project health assessments to identify delivery risks and issues.

• Track portfolio performance, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and key delivery metrics.

• Provide visibility into portfolio health and escalate critical issues as necessary.

• Establish and promote delivery standards, best practices, and quality frameworks.

• Assist and mentor Project Managers.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Ensure the adoption of company delivery methodologies, processes, and standards.

• Manage delivery escalations and coordinate resolution efforts.

• Lead recovery planning for projects that are challenging or underperforming.

• Identify risks at the portfolio level and monitor mitigation plans.

• Support leadership in managing delivery-related risks and priorities.

• Collaborate with Account Managers, Project Managers, Engineering Leaders, Resource Managers, and HR partners.

• Align business objectives, delivery capabilities, and resource planning.

• Advise leadership on delivery performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing delivery maturity and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project, program, portfolio, or delivery management within the IT sector.

• Prior hands-on technical experience as a Software Engineer or in another technical delivery role.

• Strong comprehension of software development processes and engineering challenges.

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, accounts, or delivery streams at the same time.

• Experience in leading, mentoring, or developing Project Managers, Delivery Managers, or Team Leads.

• Solid understanding of delivery governance, project health management, risk management, and quality assurance practices.

• Proven track record in managing complex delivery escalations and leading recovery efforts for troubled projects.

• Experience in establishing and enhancing delivery standards, processes, frameworks, and best practices across organizations.

• Strong capabilities in portfolio management, including identifying trends, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven approaches.

• Ability to drive organizational change and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, coaching, and leadership abilities.

• Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed organizations.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
