Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute release schedules.

• Oversee the release pipeline and coordinate efforts among development, QA, operations, and support teams.

• Manage the entire release lifecycle from planning and development to deployment and post-release support.

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and stakeholders to prioritize release content based on business goals and customer impact.

• Ensure alignment of releases with broader strategic business objectives.

• Identify risks and bottlenecks in the release process and create strategies for mitigation.

• Act as the primary contact for stakeholders involved in the release process, including senior leadership, product owners, engineering, operations, and customer support.

• Provide updates on release progress, obstacles, risks, and the impact of upcoming changes.

• Evaluate release effectiveness and promote process improvements, automation, and risk mitigation.

• Champion the adoption of best practices in release management.

• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics for each release cycle.

• Ensure that production changes are well-documented, tracked, and managed appropriately.

• Supervise version control and configuration management processes.

• Optimize and manage tools such as Jira, GitLab, and LaunchDarkly.

• Identify opportunities for automation within the release process.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in dynamic and challenging environments.

• Strong collaborative skills to effectively engage with various teams and departments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), particularly continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release management.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple releases concurrently.

• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.

• Strong analytical capabilities to proactively identify and address risks.

• Ability to resolve issues effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Skill in managing expectations, negotiating timelines, and aligning all parties on release objectives and outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, complemented by 7+ years of related work experience.
