This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
β’ Assist patients in accessing PDPA and VFM products as prescribed by authorized healthcare professionals.
β’ Oversee and enhance the patient journey from HUB enrollment to post-fill follow-up.
β’ Take ownership of 100% of assigned cases within the specified geographic area.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding reimbursement and access assistance.
β’ Perform benefits investigations and verifications, including communications with payers and patients.
β’ Aid in prior authorization submissions, verifications, appeals, and associated deadlines.
β’ Clarify benefits, out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles, copayments, reimbursement programs, maximizers, and accumulators.
β’ Confirm product and baseline-test coverage across PBM and major medical insurance for VFM.
β’ Organize patient appointments, baseline assessments, testing, and communications with vendors.
β’ Manage Interim Care, extended Interim Care, vouchers, copay cards, and copay eligibility attestations.
β’ Prioritize voucher, paid prescription, and Interim Care fills within Polaris.
β’ Conduct follow-ups after prescriptions at 10 and 45 days.
β’ Maintain case records, documentation, secure messages, texting, faxing, prescription triage, and patient consents.
β’ Collaborate with HUB partners, Pfizer colleagues, Patient Support Program/HUB staff, and external vendors.
β’ Report adverse events and adhere to company compliance, safety, confidentiality, and content-control regulations.
β’ Utilize approved materials to communicate access options and address barriers to patient access.
β’ Foster trust through compliant follow-up and responsible verbal and written communication.
β’ B.S. or B.A. Degree.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (or related fields) in customer-facing roles/functions.
β’ Background as an FRM, PAC, ACM, FAS, or relevant experience in access and reimbursement.
β’ Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and cross-functional teams.
β’ Expertise in conducting benefit investigations and verifications directly with payers.
β’ Familiarity with prior authorization and appeals processes.
β’ Knowledge of copay programs, copay maximizers and accumulators, vouchers, and interim care programs.
β’ Capability to manage a high volume of concurrent cases with thorough documentation and follow-up.
β’ Meet adverse event reporting responsibilities with regular direct patient contact.
β’ Strong grasp of reimbursement, government payment systems, specialty pharmacy networks, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty medications.
β’ Ability to communicate and collaborate compliantly with cross-functional field-based colleagues.
β’ Align with HQ stakeholders to enhance patient access.
β’ Flexibility to work across varying time zones when necessary.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 10% to 20%.
β’ Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
β’ Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
β’ U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
β’ Preferred: experience in patient/customer-facing access and reimbursement education.
β’ Preferred: proficiency in Polaris, including case management, documentation, prescription triage, and interpretation of PA, appeal, and patient enrollment documents.
β’ Preferred: HUB experience.
β’ Preferred: experience with Kiteworks or similar encrypted email, DocuSign, and copay portal management.
β’ Preferred: experience collaborating with third-party vendors on patient assessment, testing, or specialty pharmacy logistics.
β’ Preferred: experience providing support for Interim Care, free goods, or bridge programs.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with pharmacy benefit and major medical benefit coverage pathways.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional relationship-building skills, particularly with elderly populations.
β’ Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
β’ Outstanding critical thinking skills.
β’ Knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals and patient journeys.
β’ Commitment to regulatory and compliance standards.
β’ Remote employees work from home five days a week, or are field-based colleagues not affiliated with a Pfizer location.
