Decision Scientist – Utilization Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop analytical solutions to enhance Utilization Management in the healthcare sector.

• Investigate, analyze, and interpret extensive datasets in various formats.

• Examine structured and unstructured data to address moderately complex business challenges.

• Employ advanced statistical methodologies and mathematical analyses.

• Construct data structures and pipelines to organize, gather, and standardize information.

• Implement data visualization methods to convey analytical findings and support business decisions.

• Identify and assess data requirements for assigned projects while ensuring data integrity.

• Review existing data and suggest additional data sources for enhancement.

• Document projects, detailing business objectives, data collection and processing, outcomes, and analytical metrics.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional Analytics & Behavior Change team to provide analytics, data, and technology solutions for healthcare.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant analytical experience.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Experience in programming with R or Python.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and other cloud-based tools.

• Preferred: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to diverse audiences.

• Preferred: Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues and obstacles.

• Preferred: Interest in statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization.

• Preferred: Experience working with large datasets from multiple data sources.
