Deal Desk Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain robust working relationships with business partners in Finance, Legal, Support, and other departments.

• Oversee the review and approval process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on intricate pricing and commercial terms.

• Offer solutions to Sales for overcoming customer objections while maximizing revenue and bookings.

• Create and scrutinize order forms of varying complexity for precision.

• Acquire and document necessary approvals for discounts and contractual terms in the CPQ tool and other platforms as required.

• Ensure that transactions adhere to New Relic’s internal policies.

• Provide ongoing education and training to Sales regarding non-standard deal processes.

• Prepare and evaluate order forms, legal agreements, customer purchase orders, and quotes for compliance with revenue recognition and Deal Desk policies.

• Protect and manage SFDC data quality for proposed and finalized quotes and deals.

• Keep accurate records of customer entitlements, new deal logos, commission levels, and deal amounts in accordance with revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of Finance/Operations experience in a high-tech setting, ideally with order entry experience.

• Familiarity with Salesforce and MS Excel / Google Sheets is preferred.

• Capability to foster strong working relationships with internal business units and across regions.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Willingness to accommodate various time zones and work additional hours as necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is required.

• Experience with Salesforce CPQ is a plus.

• Experience with utilizing Gemini AI is an added advantage.
