DC Power Telecom Technician, Level IV Installer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage and implement intricate telecommunications installations in Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant settings.

• Lead a team of technicians to ensure timely project completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.

• Install, test, and activate telecommunications equipment.

• Add or remove battery strings as necessary.

• Conduct additions, removals, and modifications on operational equipment and circuits.

• Modify circuits on active power distribution equipment.

• Install auxiliary framing and relay racks.

• Evaluate job drawings and specifications on-site, resolving issues prior to project commencement.

• Prepare SMOPs and DMOPs for various projects.

• Act as the primary contact for engineering, material assignments, and other support teams.

• Review work assignments and project phases before each shift, clarifying roles and responsibilities.

• Complete job logs following company standards, documenting personnel, hours worked, completed or ongoing tasks, and site or project concerns.

• Conduct DC audits, preventive maintenance, and load testing of DC power systems and standby batteries.

• Add or upgrade software as required.

• Supervise work assignments, manage time effectively, and facilitate training and development of assigned staff.

• Uphold professional conduct, quality standards, and exceptional customer service.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications installation.

• Strong technical expertise in network equipment and protocols.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• High degree of travel is necessary.
