Database Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in fulfilling the overall database requirements of the Enterprise.

• Aid in the development of analytics and .NET applications utilizing databases such as MS SQL and/or Teradata.

• Design, maintain, and improve databases and applications for internal uses and customer reporting.

• Engage in multiple projects and contribute to areas of subject matter expertise.

• Collaborate within a team comprising database developers, software developers, and business analysts.

• Provide database analytics and web-based application solutions.

• Manage existing databases while analyzing, designing, and creating new ones.

• Execute data modeling, database optimization, schema implementation, and interpret and write complex code.

• Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and address capacity constraints.

• Design, implement, and support ETL processes.

• Establish standards for database development, documentation, and best practices.

• Maintain existing production databases and processes across various projects.

• Conduct support, development, and administrative tasks as needed.

• Provide periodic on-call support for the department’s applications, available 24/7/365.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (additional experience in database development may compensate for the degree requirement).

• Minimum of three years of experience in database development (e.g., MS SQL and/or Teradata, Snowflake) or experience with DBT and Airflow.

• Strong understanding of database concepts and the .NET computing environment.

• Excellent knowledge of current technologies and project management abilities.

• A diverse technology background is essential.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Candidates must reside in Ohio, Nevada, or Florida.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Compliance with the influenza prevention program, including annual vaccination or an approved exemption, is mandatory.

• Completion of post-offer controlled-substance testing is required.
