Data Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of data management services for both single and multi-service projects.

• Ensure that quality deliverables are provided punctually, within budget, and meet customer satisfaction.

• Offer data management expertise and guidance to the team throughout project planning, execution, and conclusion.

• Manage financial oversight for data management tasks, communications, and key milestone deliverables.

• Collect study setup requirements via discussions with stakeholders.

• Assist and supervise the validation of new device integrations.

• Conduct regular data cleansing activities.

• Guarantee that deliverables adhere to quality standards, meet customer expectations, align with agreed timelines, and comply with contractual SOW requirements.

• Facilitate training for new team members.

• Lead internal study meetings, as well as internal and sponsor audits; take part in study kick-off and sponsor meetings.

• Monitor and manage projects, track progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures.

• Oversee the implementation of new technology and updates to databases.

• Work in collaboration with programming teams to drive process innovation and automation.

• Ensure compliance with training requirements and eSOP reading.

• Review and provide expert insights on core operating procedures and work instructions.

• Collaborate with the Line Manager and cross-functional team members.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in health, clinical, biological or mathematical sciences, or a related field, along with demonstrable experience in Data Management.

• 3–4 years of direct experience in Data Management, including at least 1 year as a CDM project lead (preferred).

• Proficiency in spoken English and advanced written English skills.

• Expertise in advanced computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Inbox.

• Comprehensive understanding of the drug development lifecycle and the overall clinical research process.
