Data Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical architecture and solution strategy for client projects.

• Design Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, and hybrid analytics platforms that align with business objectives, scalability, governance, and cost considerations.

• Create architectures for data integration, Lakehouse, data warehouses, semantic modeling, Power BI, and self-service analytics solutions.

• Develop modern data models and analytics architectures utilizing PySpark, SQL, and Fabric-native services.

• Lead technical decision-making processes, architecture evaluations, and risk management throughout project execution.

• Facilitate discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution design discussions.

• Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Formulate architecture recommendations, effort estimates, staffing suggestions, and delivery methods.

• Communicate technical strategies, tradeoffs, costs, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Assist clients in defining data and analytics roadmaps.

• Design secure, governed data platforms for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives.

• Implement data quality measures, source control, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, cost management, and operational readiness strategies.

• Define governance capabilities encompassing cataloging, lineage, metadata management, classification, and data stewardship.

• Enhance solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Design data foundations for Copilots, AI agents, natural language interfaces, RAG solutions, and intelligent business applications.

• Assess emerging technologies and AI capabilities for tangible business value.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance architecture, documentation, estimation, testing, analysis, and delivery quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or related fields.

• Proven experience leading architecture and technical delivery for client-facing consulting projects.

• Proficient in designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and contemporary analytics solutions.

• Advanced understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, Power BI architecture, data integration, modern analytics architecture patterns, and Microsoft Purview.

• Experience in developing governed and secure data architectures that support reliable reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

• Competence in defining delivery methodologies including CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a commitment to the technical success of client engagements.

• Preferred: Microsoft Fabric certification or equivalent experience in Fabric architecture.

• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Purview, including data cataloging, lineage, metadata, classification, and governance.

• Preferred: Background in AI and agent architecture, covering Copilots, natural language interfaces, RAG solutions, and intelligent applications.

• Preferred: Experience modernizing Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other legacy analytics solutions.

• Preferred: Expertise in data governance, master data management, or enterprise information management.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure infrastructure, networking, security, private connectivity, and related architectural concepts.

• Preferred: Experience in consulting or professional services.

• Additional differentiators include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; relevant certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or Microsoft Purview; experience in legacy data and reporting modernization; and industry experience in Manufacturing, Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, or SLED/GCC.
