This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +31 more states.
• Collaborate on price optimization strategies informed by anticipated outcomes of pricing and promotions.
• Spearhead data science projects aimed at enhancing business profitability, boosting efficiencies, and elevating customer experience.
• Aid in the development of The Home Depot's advanced analytics framework that supports informed decision-making.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques and algorithms to uncover trends and propose business solutions.
• Create and refine algorithms and models using extensive datasets to generate business insights.
• Act as a technical lead for analytics initiatives and may independently manage smaller projects.
• Choose, apply, and interpret advanced analytical methods.
• Convey insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and business partners.
• Compile reports, updates, and presentations regarding the status of projects or solutions.
• Work in partnership with internal clients, cross-functional teams, project teams, and business partners to establish project objectives.
• Investigate advancements in data science, technical skill sets, and additional data sources.
• Create replicable solutions, documentation, process flowcharts, and reusable libraries for algorithms.
• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Skilled in Linear Optimization tools (Gurobi is preferred).
• Previous experience in developing Optimization and Deep Learning solutions in a professional setting.
• Over 3 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics.
• PhD in a quantitative discipline is preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics).
• Proficient in Python and SQL programming languages.
• Expertise in employing statistical techniques to extract key insights that address business challenges.
• Proven ability in predictive modeling, including optimization, forecasting, or recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study.
