Data Scientist – Feature Engineering, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Create features related to transactional and credit behaviors, encompassing frequency, recency, amounts, digital engagement, and delinquency for the risk model.

• Develop features that include comprehensive standard metadata, such as descriptions, primary/foreign keys, lineage, ownership, tags, data lifecycle, temporality, and D1/D2 design to enhance reusability.

• Adhere to the deployment pipeline from bundle validation to DDLs and production.

• Oversee job monitoring and comply with FinOps best practices.

• Maintain consistency between training and production environments, serving as the model's single source of truth.

• Collaborate closely with modeling and platform teams.

• Transform transactional and credit behavior data into reliable and well-governed features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in feature engineering or data engineering using Databricks and Unity Catalog.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and data quality (DQX).

• Understanding of naming conventions and metadata standards.

• Feature Store certification (Fundamentals/Expert) and familiarity with financial data is a plus.

• Experience in developing AI agents or agentic infrastructure (such as Mosaic AI Agent Framework, agent orchestration, MCP) is a plus.
