This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze extensive, sparse, and disorganized datasets to derive significant patterns, trends, and insights utilizing advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Create and uphold data processing workflows, ensuring the effective mapping and transformation of source data.
• Enhance data quality by sourcing supplementary datasets and merging them with publisher data.
• Develop intricate queries and scripts for data transformation and modeling.
• Customize configurations and refine parameters to achieve optimal performance.
• Convert business challenges into analytical frameworks and execute data-driven solutions.
• Support BI Developers in the creation of interactive dashboards and user-friendly data visualizations.
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, other data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure that models align with business objectives and technical specifications.
• Draft documentation for models, pipelines, and workflows to promote collaboration and reproducibility.
• Investigate subscriber and publisher datasets, enhance existing applications, and create analytical models for Seek’s ML cloud platform and app store.
• Construct and deploy analytics applications that can be accessed through Seek’s Insight Cloud.
• Over 1 year of experience in data science or data analytics.
• Proficiency in popular data science Python libraries for data transformation, regression, classification, and clustering.
• Experience in data preparation and feature engineering, including cleaning, normalizing, transforming, and selecting relevant features from raw datasets.
• Strong SQL skills: joins, subqueries, window functions, common table expressions (CTEs), aggregations, complex string manipulations, stored procedures, and functions.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques or dashboarding products.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills.
• Capability to independently advance complex data analysis and development.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data and convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with PySpark or SnowPark for Python, SQL user-defined functions, and table functions (UDFs & UDTFs).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab and production deployment pipelines.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets directly in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Experience in ML performance optimization, including efficient computation, parallel processing, hyperparameter tuning, model pruning, and quantization.
• Candidates must reside in the US.
