Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Respond to analytical inquiries from stakeholders throughout the Product organization.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of how various components of the product and data model operate to yield precise results.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to establish essential metrics for projects.

• Serve as the statistics authority alongside Product Managers to guarantee effective experimental design.

• Communicate concepts such as statistical power and sample size in an accessible manner.

• Evaluate experimental outcomes for statistical significance while considering common challenges and the issue of p-hacking.

• Deepen knowledge in a specific product area and address ad hoc analytical inquiries.

• Design, implement, and assess an experiment with guidance from another Product Data Scientist.

• Offer constructive feedback on team workflows and suggest improvements or new methodologies.

• Work closely with stakeholders from both data and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of experience as a data scientist in a product-oriented setting.

• Strong expertise in SQL and a good grasp of data modeling principles.

• Proficient in Python, particularly in data analysis/science libraries such as Pandas and Stats.

• Effective in “data storytelling” and communicating with stakeholders: able to convey technical concepts intuitively.

• Detail-oriented: capable of validating your outputs and rectifying errors before presenting results to stakeholders.

• Possess a good sense of product and familiarity with key “product” metrics (such as DAU, retention, etc.).

• Basic understanding of machine learning and how to develop and evaluate models.

• Proficient in English; with a high level of spoken English and capability in reading and writing professional English.

• Candidates must be able to work remotely from Brazil or reside in the Buenos Aires metro area in Argentina.
