This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist with LATAM projects related to data science, analytics, and decision-making use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify business challenges, data availability, analytical needs, and desired outcomes.
• Develop, assess, and articulate predictive models, scorecards, decision rules, segmentation analyses, simulations, and business insights.
• Utilize Python and standard data science libraries to clean, explore, transform, and analyze data.
• Generate analytical outputs, insights suitable for clients, summaries of model performance, and business recommendations.
• Provide data science insights during discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and delivery processes.
• Clarify concepts of machine learning, rules, explainability, monitoring, and decision-making within the Provenir platform.
• Convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document analyses, assumptions, code, and recommendations in a reproducible manner.
• Adhere to and contribute to best practices regarding code quality, documentation, version control, testing, and reusable delivery assets.
• Work collaboratively with global Data Science colleagues to share insights and ensure consistent regional delivery.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field along with at least 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, decision science, applied machine learning, or a related area; or a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field.
• Proficient in Python, including experience with pandas, scikit-learn, notebooks, data wrangling, and model development workflows.
• Background in building, validating, or interpreting supervised machine learning models.
• Strong skills in data manipulation, including merging, cleansing, sampling, profiling, and preparing data for analysis.
• Capability to balance model performance, explainability, complexity, and business usability.
• Solid understanding of AUC, precision, recall, lift, stability, and model monitoring.
• Ability to translate analytical results into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• Comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders and willing to engage directly with clients.
• Inquisitive, proactive, and eager to learn about new business areas, analytical techniques, and platform functionalities.
• Organized and focused on delivery, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
• Experience in sectors such as financial services, fintech, banking, lending, payments, insurance, telecommunications, or other data-intensive industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with client-facing roles, workshops, product demonstrations, or cross-functional business discussions is a plus.
• Experience with MLOps, model deployment, APIs, MLflow, CI/CD, or production model governance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of credit risk, fraud, collections, or customer management use cases is desirable.
• Experience creating presentations, technical documentation, or business summaries is a plus.
