Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist security analysts in enhancing alert quality, improving workflow efficiency, and strengthening detection capabilities through advanced analytics, machine learning, and Gen AI.

• Collaborate with operational, engineering, and service delivery teams to implement, monitor, and manage machine learning functionalities.

• Convert data insights into clear, actionable knowledge for the organization to inform business decisions.

• Promote experimentation, ongoing learning, and continuous improvement.

• Maintain and upgrade existing models while contributing to new data science projects.

• Share expertise with Expel's external audience through blog contributions and speaking engagements at conferences.

• Transform intricate information-security data into actionable insights and tools that enhance cybersecurity results.

• Strong willingness and ability to collaborate with teams across the organization.

• Proficient in communicating technical data science concepts to diverse audiences, particularly those without data science backgrounds.

• Enthusiasm for uncovering order and meaning within large, complex data sets and challenging problem spaces.

• Extensive experience with Python, including libraries such as pandas, numpy, and sklearn.

• Proficiency in SQL for model development purposes.

• Solid understanding of statistics, encompassing distributions, hypothesis testing, and probability.

• Familiarity with data science and visualization frameworks like scikit-learn, plotly, pandas, and numpy.

• Awareness of data engineering principles.

• Demonstrated experience with best practices in cloud deployment.

• Over 3 years of data science experience in model creation, data analysis, drawing conclusions, making recommendations, and summarizing key insights for stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience in AI/ML.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
