Data Scientist – AI & Experimentation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Construct, validate, and deploy statistical and predictive models that guide pricing, matching, and growth strategies.

• Enhance and refine LLM-powered features, including RAG pipelines and the integration of new AI technologies.

• Create prompt and evaluation workflows, assess AI output quality, and identify regressions.

• Develop testable hypotheses and design experiments such as A/B tests.

• Examine funnels and user journeys to spot drop-offs and friction points.

• Collaborate with performance marketing on targeting, attribution, and campaign effectiveness.

• Establish KPIs and create dashboards for monitoring in AWS QuickSight.

• Document, prioritize, and share updates in Jira across product, engineering, and marketing teams.

• Present conclusions as actionable recommendations and assist in their implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistics with the ability to choose suitable methods and justify assumptions.

• Proficient in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy) and SQL.

• Proven experience applying Python and SQL to tackle real-world business challenges.

• Practical expertise in taking ML and modern AI techniques from concept to functional solution.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG systems in production or near-production environments, including prompting, retrieval quality, and output assessment.

• Good understanding of A/B testing principles, including sample sizing, significance, and common pitfalls.

• Familiarity with performance marketing concepts such as CAC, ROAS, and attribution logic.

• Project experience in anomaly detection, trend analysis, marketing mix modeling, or multi-touch attribution.

• Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or other platform-based businesses, ideally with exposure to supply and demand dynamics.
