Data Science Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the data science strategy and roadmap for Mexico and Brazil.

• Collaborate with the team to build and deploy models.

• Set up modelling standards, infrastructure, and delivery practices.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a small team of data scientists across both markets.

• Work in partnership with credit leadership on modelling, impact assessment, valuation input, and P&L analysis.

• Introduce structure and discipline to priorities, progress monitoring, and delivery.

• Contribute methodologies for wider adoption within the Tilt data science organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading data scientists as a manager or technical lead.

• Strong skills in applied machine learning and modelling.

• Adequate understanding of credit and underwriting processes.

• Direct experience in lending, credit, or payments is a significant advantage.

• Background in high-growth or small-company settings.

• Ability to connect data science initiatives to measurable business results.

• Proficient in conveying technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

• Must be based in Brazil, Mexico, or the US.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.

• Spanish language skills are welcome.
