Data Science and Analytics Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Execute clearly defined analytical tasks with supervision.

• Provide precise, dependable, and timely analytical results that aid in business decisions.

• Gather, assess, and confirm data for initiatives driven by data.

• Utilize statistical and analytical methods to address specified business challenges.

• Adhere to coding, data quality, documentation, and analytical protocols.

• Assist in developing scalable and repeatable analytical workflows.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

• Share progress updates, recognize obstacles, and engage in team discussions.

• Record analytical methodologies, assumptions, findings, and outcomes.

• Present insights through presentations and other suitable formats.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Minimum of one year of professional experience in data analysis, data science, or a similar position.

• Foundational to intermediate understanding of data analysis and statistical principles.

• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Foundational to intermediate programming skills in Python, R, or a related programming language.

• Foundational to intermediate knowledge of SQL or similar data-querying techniques.

• Capability to adhere to established coding and data standards.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau (preferred).

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, data science processes, or analytics-driven decision-making (preferred).

• Understanding of customer success or fraud prevention sectors (preferred).

• Experience with Jira or a comparable task management platform (preferred).
