This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary liaison for a portfolio of global data partners contributing to the Global Data Network.
• Develop and sustain trustworthy long-term relationships with partner-site data teams.
• Monitor partner-specific data governance requirements and compliance responsibilities.
• Supervise partner performance concerning turnaround-time commitments and address any delays or bottlenecks.
• Lead the negotiation of data use agreements, contracts with data partners, and renewal terms.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure agreements align with regulatory, privacy, and data governance standards.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, redlining, execution, and tracking renewals/ expirations.
• Structure adaptable engagement terms that balance partner sustainability with commercial efficiency.
• Convert client research inquiries into cohort and dataset specifications.
• Identify appropriate data partners and oversee the sourcing process from start to finish.
• Assess datasets for completeness, accuracy, and suitability for intended purposes.
• Coordinate the integration of clinical, genomic, imaging, and pathology data into curated, client-ready packages.
• Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to address quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies.
• Maintain documentation and quality-control records.
• Manage project timelines from initial request through data delivery.
• Highlight turnaround-time risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide status updates and reports to the SVP of Sales, Life Sciences and Global Data Networks, as well as the commercial team.
• Identify process enhancements to minimize sourcing, contracting, and delivery times.
• Connect Commercial, Data Science, Legal/Compliance, and external data partners.
• Assist in pre-sales scoping by advising on data feasibility, contract conditions, and realistic timelines.
• Identify gaps and new partnership opportunities within the GDN network.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health informatics, public health, data science, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5-7 years of experience in program/project management, data operations, clinical data management, or a similar role within life sciences, real-world data (RWD), or healthcare data environments.
• Experience in supporting or leading contract/agreement negotiations, including data use agreements, vendor contracts, or partner contracts.
• Proficient knowledge of clinical and genomic data types such as EMR/EHR, WES, WGS, RNA-Seq, proteomics, pathology, and radiology.
• Understanding of data quality principles, cohort/stratification concepts, and challenges of data harmonization across multimodal sources.
• Familiarity with data privacy, de-identification standards, and healthcare data regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, or equivalent.
• Strong project management capabilities and the ability to handle multiple concurrent requests, timelines, and stakeholders.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills across technical, commercial, legal, and external partner audiences.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, federated, multi-partner environment.
• Preferred: experience with federated data networks, biobanks, or multi-institution data consortia.
• Preferred: background in genomics, bioinformatics, or clinical research coordination.
• Preferred: experience with IRB processes or research governance.
• Preferred: previous experience supporting a commercial or business development team from a technical/data operations perspective.
