This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +38 more locations.
• Analyze the fundamental decisions behind inquiries from pricing, underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams.
• Facilitate data products that enhance pricing, underwriting, actuarial analysis, and claims decision-making.
• Integrate data across various platforms including Snapsheet, Xactimate, RMS, Verisk, underwriting, and pricing systems.
• Proactively create supporting datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineering to scope and deliver data products.
• Manage the data layer as the definitive source for essential insurance metrics such as loss ratio and pricing accuracy.
• Accurately define metrics prior to deployment.
• Enhance data quality and instrumentation.
• Convert multi-source data into actionable insights.
• Work in partnership with pricing, actuarial, underwriting, claims, and data engineering teams.
• Provide data products that enhance business results and streamline decision-making processes.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in product management, data analytics, or a related analytical role within the insurance sector.
• Strong business acumen regarding the utilization of data for decision-making.
• Proficient in advanced SQL, capable of independently retrieving and joining data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with modern data technologies such as Databricks and Looker.
• Skill in identifying the core question behind initial requests.
• Accuracy in defining metrics.
• Capability to leverage AI for increased productivity and rapid prototyping of ideas.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to define scope and deliver products.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry or a quick learning ability in this domain.
• Effective and clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to live and work full-time in one of the specified U.S. states, or Ontario for remote technical roles based in Canada.
