Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop the end-to-end data platform — from source integration and pipeline construction to modeling, reporting, and data quality.

• Ensure data quality from product to dashboard, identify issues and their root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.

• Enhance the analytical warehouse and data models.

• Provide solutions that natively support agents: creating integrations, testing, documentation, and facilitating platform usage by other team agents.

• Automate processes and create internal tools to streamline data handling and improve system reliability.

• Work with CI/CD, permissions, cloud resources, and scaling the data platform.

• Collaborate with Engineering, ML, Analytics, and Marketing teams.

• Utilize AI in daily engineering workflows and develop new approaches to working with the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in data engineering within a production environment.

• Proficient in Python and SQL with experience in building production solutions.

• Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using Dagster, Airflow, or similar tools.

• Understanding of building robust pipeline processes.

• Practical experience with analytical warehouses and data modeling — ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, or similar solutions.

• Ability to independently identify issues, formulate approaches, prioritize tasks, and drive them to completion.

• Comfortable working in uncertain conditions and ready to quickly adapt to new tools, domains, and challenges.

• Understanding of the business context of work, ability to articulate the value of data solutions, and collaborate with various teams.

• Preferred: Terraform, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and IAM experience.

• Preferred: ClickHouse under real load or creation of internal tools.

• Preferred: Experience with ML processes, feature pipelines, deployment, or monitoring of models, and marketing attribution.
