This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Collect, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions.
• Evaluate and analyze datasets to identify data quality issues such as duplication, completeness, consistency, and integrity gaps, while conducting root-cause analysis.
• Establish and execute validation and completeness checks, monitoring data quality against established metrics and thresholds.
• Facilitate the resolution of data issues with source-system and engineering teams, including cleansing, de-duplicating, and reconciling records.
• Assist in the maintenance of master and reference data by adhering to established standards for key entities.
• Serve as a domain data steward and primary contact for data meaning, origin, and usage.
• Manage the data catalogue and business glossary, ensuring definitions, ownership, and business context are up to date.
• Document data lineage and flows across source systems, storage solutions, and reporting layers.
• Create data dictionaries, standards, process notes, and how-to guides.
• Contribute to data quality reporting and suggest enhancements to controls and processes.
• Implement and support data governance policies that cover access, retention, classification, and privacy, while meeting audit requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, BI, and business teams to integrate quality and governance requirements early in the delivery process.
• Support and mentor data stewards, sharing expertise and enhancing data literacy across teams.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in data management, data quality, data governance, data analysis, or data operations.
• Experience in executing large-scale data management initiatives within a complex data landscape.
• Proven experience with data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
• Understanding of data governance concepts, including stewardship, master and reference data, metadata, lineage, classification, and data privacy, including GDPR.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.
• Ability to convert business needs into clear, traceable documentation.
• Proficient in working with spreadsheets and managing data at scale, with a keen attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams.
• Preferred experience with tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, dbt, and ETL/ELT tooling.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, as well as self-service analytics.
• Fluency in AI, including the use of AI tools and ensuring trustworthy data assets for AI applications.
• Scripting experience for data tasks, such as Python.
• Experience in data management within a regulated industry is desirable.
• A relevant degree or professional data qualification such as DAMA/CDMP is preferred.
