This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the ingestion, transformation, and exchange of data between school systems and the Timely application.
β’ Ensure the accuracy, security, and scalability of customer data pipelines.
β’ Collaborate with customer success teams, SIS representatives, and district IT personnel to design, plan, and implement integration workflows.
β’ Create and uphold best practices for data integration, along with documentation and institutional knowledge.
β’ Introduce process enhancements and automation.
β’ Develop and test lightweight scripts and tools, including Python scripts with Claude Code, in collaboration with the engineering team.
β’ Lead the discovery process for integrations with new SISs and cultivate relationships with customers and potential SIS partners.
β’ Contribute to product, technology, process, and organizational improvements to enhance the scalability of the data integrations function.
β’ Facilitate onboarding for new team members and continuously enhance integration processes.
β’ Extensive knowledge of at least one Student Information System, preferably PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, Aeries, Frontline, Focus, Synergy, eSchoolPlus, Alma, or Aspen.
β’ Verified experience in data integration within K12 education, school or district data administration, data analysis, or data engineering.
β’ Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, SQL, REST APIs, and SIS import/export and reporting tools.
β’ Experience in transferring data between systems through SIS imports and exports, ETL pipelines, or API-based integrations.
β’ Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
β’ Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, remote startup environment.
β’ Proven ability to lead technical discussions with a diverse range of stakeholders.
β’ Comfort in dealing with uncertainty and a willingness to establish new processes.
β’ Hands-on experience in loading and manipulating student and teacher scheduling data into a SIS is strongly preferred.
β’ Openness to learning command-line tools and Claude Code for developing and testing Python scripts; prior software engineering experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
β’ Familiarity with REST APIs and basic scripting for API-based data extraction.
β’ Understanding of SIS data structures, including students, courses, enrollments, sections, staffing, and rooms.
β’ Eligibility to work in the United States; the application will inquire if sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is needed.
