Data Integration Engineer (Mid-Level)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain data connections utilizing Prophix DIS (both on-premises and cloud-based).

• Configure DIS agents (including SQL Server, ODBC, Excel, AWS S3, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and others) for integration with clients’ ERP systems.

• Create and oversee parameterized source queries tailored for various financial models (such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, P&L, etc.).

• Investigate and resolve integration issues, reconcile data discrepancies, and enhance pipeline performance.

• Contribute to the integration strategy and architecture by suggesting automation and simplification opportunities across multiple platforms.

• Document integration logic and assist in refining internal best practices.

• Offer technical support to consultants, project managers, and clients’ IT stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to data residency requirements (LGPD), especially in cases involving Cloud DIS.

• Facilitate the migration of on-premises solutions to the cloud, particularly focusing on AWS.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in integrating data between ERP systems and various platforms/systems (FP&A, CPM, BI).

• Practical experience with SQL Server and relational databases (queries, procedures, views).

• Background in ETL projects—data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and the setup/configuration of on-premises services.

• Proficient in RESTful web services utilizing JSON.

• Experience with scripting languages—JavaScript or Python is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in English is necessary for collaboration with the Prophix team in Canada.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data, or a related field is preferred.

• Familiarity with Brazilian-market ERP systems: TOTVS Protheus/Datasul, SAP Business One or ECC/S4HANA, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Senior, or Sankhya is preferred.

• Experience with cloud integration pipelines (AWS S3, Azure Blob, REST APIs) is preferred.

• Familiarity with SnapLogic and/or Java web services for application integration is preferred.

• Graduate degree or certifications in data integration, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), or databases is preferred.

• Understanding of accounting and/or financial concepts: planning, budgeting, forecasting, or consolidation is preferred.

• Capability to establish and implement programming standards and techniques across the organization is preferred.

• Experience in dynamic environments, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is preferred.

• Advanced SQL skills—complex queries, JOINs, aggregations, procedures, and performance troubleshooting.

• Proficient in REST APIs & JSON—consumption and configuration of endpoints for integration with external systems.

• Knowledge of ETL—concepts and practical application of extraction, transformation, and loading pipelines.

• Experience with ODBC—configuration of drivers and generic connections to legacy systems.

• Scripting experience—JavaScript, Python, or a similar language for automation and data manipulation.

• Familiarity with Java, SQL, or SOQL.
