This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement scalable batch and near-real-time data pipelines utilizing Python, PySpark, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Define data storage, transformation, and access methodologies across S3, Redshift, Athena, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Create event-driven and integration solutions leveraging SNS, SQS, Kinesis, and APIs.
• Set standards for data quality, observability, monitoring, logging, and failure recovery.
• Enhance data processing, storage, and query performance across AWS platforms.
• Lead the resolution of production issues and conduct root cause analysis alongside corrective measures.
• Assist in cloud migration, data migration, and modernization efforts.
• Evaluate solution designs, code quality, and production readiness across various projects.
• Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
• Promote best practices for CI/CD, deployment automation, and thorough documentation.
• A degree is required for the visa application process.
• 12+ years of software development experience with a strong IT foundation.
• Experience as an application developer on projects with similar scope and responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
• Extensive experience with Python object-oriented programming, PySpark, SQL, and ETL frameworks.
• Profound experience with AWS Glue, EMR, Redshift, RDS, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, migration, and support models.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Terraform, and release/deployment practices.
• Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to agile delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in oral English.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
• Preferred: experience with Kinesis, ECS, Batch, Beanstalk, and DynamoDB.
• Preferred: exposure to infrastructure-as-code and reusable platform patterns.
• Preferred: understanding of performance engineering for code pipelines and near-real-time systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of Agents and MCP.
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native principles or AI coding assistants.
