This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Join a Brazilian technology firm that assists organizations in navigating complex challenges and expediting their digital transformation.
• Establish and enforce Data Governance policies, processes, and standards.
• Organize and oversee the Data Governance framework, including roles and responsibilities.
• Identify and designate Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians.
• Develop and maintain the data catalog, business glossary, and data dictionary.
• Facilitate Data Quality initiatives by defining metrics, rules, and improvement strategies.
• Define and monitor governance and data quality metrics and KPIs.
• Oversee metadata, data lineage, and data classification.
• Ensure adherence to security and privacy policies, including LGPD compliance.
• Collaborate with business divisions, Technology, Information Security, and Data & Analytics teams.
• Assess risks associated with data usage and quality, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Assist with audits and compliance initiatives related to data.
• Engage in the development of processes for data lifecycle management.
• Foster a culture of governance and best practices for data utilization throughout the organization.
• Extensive experience in Data Governance.
• Familiarity with Data Quality, Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage concepts.
• Proven experience in crafting governance policies, processes, and models.
• Understanding of LGPD and data privacy regulations.
• Experience in collaborating with both business and technology teams.
• Knowledge of data architecture and ecosystems.
• Capability to act strategically and provide consultative support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to align with various stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience with Governance/Data Catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar.
• Preferred: familiarity with frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK.
• Preferred: experience in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Preferred: understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Preferred: involvement in Data & Analytics projects.
• Preferred: certifications in Data Governance, Data Management, or related fields.
