Data Governance Program Manager – Operations Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Deliver tactical coordination and operational support for data governance pilots, intake procedures, standards implementations, and associated project tasks.

• Oversee pilot execution across various programs.

• Assist in governance intake workflows and subsequent actions.

• Monitor checklist adherence, onboarding advancement, and standards integration.

• Contribute to modernization initiatives by providing integrated Data Governance direction.

• Ensure the upkeep of documentation, reporting, meeting records, and action-item monitoring.

• Collaborate with data stewards, business units, IT, and project stakeholders.

• Partner with North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) to align with statewide data governance strategies, policies, and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in program coordination, governance operations, data management, or business operations.

• Excellent skills in documentation, tracking, and follow-up.

• Capability to coordinate among business and IT stakeholders.

• Proficient in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in Health and Human Services, public sector, or large enterprise settings (preferred).

• Background in supporting modernization, reporting, data governance, or related standards initiatives (preferred).

• Familiarity with dashboards, data inventories, business glossaries, metadata, data quality monitoring, SQL, or data queries (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science (preferred).

• CDMP, PMP, or equivalent data governance/project management certification strongly preferred.

• DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) (preferred).

• DCAM Certification (preferred).

• PMP or CAPM (preferred).

• Must not require C2C.

• Must not require sponsorship for a work visa.
