Data Governance and Analytics Architecture Director

📋 Description

• Spearhead data governance, analytics architecture, and AI/ML best practices within Health Enablement Analytics.

• Develop and uphold data governance standards and best practices for analytics and reporting.

• Steer data quality, consistency, and the appropriate utilization of enterprise data assets.

• Standardize data models, business metrics, and reusable data assets.

• Implement governance frameworks and integrate policies into daily data and analytics workflows.

• Establish accountability for data stewardship across business and analytics teams.

• Oversee processes related to data quality, metadata management, and governance monitoring.

• Act as the primary contact for Information Governance, ensuring alignment on data risk and compliance.

• Propel the standardization of data assets to minimize fragmentation and support consistent cross-domain insights.

• Provide subject matter expertise regarding analytics architecture across BI, reporting, and advanced analytics.

• Align solutions with enterprise data platforms and long-term strategic goals.

• Recommend scalable, interoperable, and reusable architectural strategies.

• Contribute to the establishment of AI/ML standards and best practices.

• Guide analytic and AI solutions towards scalability and sustainability.

• Advise on performance monitoring, management of technical debt, and architectural risk.

• Evaluate the technical feasibility of innovative and analytical initiatives.

• Consult on solution design to ensure production readiness and scalability.

• Identify data or architectural constraints and suggest practical workarounds.

• Define guidelines to expedite decision-making and minimize execution friction.

• Collaborate with Innovation, Data Science, Reporting, and enterprise teams.

• Translate business and analytics requirements into technical solutions and actionable designs.

• Provide insights on feasibility, architecture, and standards.

• Contribute technical expertise during vendor evaluations and platform selection processes.

• Hire, mentor, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent.

• Fulfill assigned performance-review responsibilities, special projects, and additional duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is required.

• Over 10 years of experience in data governance, data architecture, data engineering, and analytics roles.

• At least 5 years of leadership experience driving data governance, data architecture, and analytics platform initiatives at an enterprise level.

• Demonstrated ability to define and implement data governance frameworks, standards, and data quality processes.

• Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing and lakehouse architectures, cloud-based analytics platforms, and modern data ecosystems.

• Experience in scaling analytics and AI/ML solutions from prototypes to production deployment.

• Comprehensive understanding of BI platforms, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data lifecycle management.

• Proven experience collaborating across analytics, product, engineering, and innovation teams in complex settings.

• Ability to translate business and analytics priorities into scalable technical architecture and design.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment while being part of a distributed team.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Preferred experience in enterprise project management methods and process management.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven teamwork, leadership, and project management discipline.
