Data Governance Analyst – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate activities autonomously, ensuring deadlines and commitments are fulfilled.

• Accurately document the processes, requirements, and projects formulated by the data governance team.

• Exhibit dedication to the goals and OKRs of the company and department.

• Develop procedures, standards, policies, and associated processes for data governance.

• Establish and monitor processes for data governance initiatives.

• Create and present data governance training while fostering a data-driven culture.

• Spearhead the definition and enhancement of data governance processes in collaboration with technical teams.

• Oversee metadata management, the data catalog, data quality, and master data.

• Identify and monitor enhancements to the data catalog tool in partnership with technical teams.

• Assist in implementing Data Quality in transactional systems and across the data platform.

• Engage in the team’s Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), utilize ServiceNow, and communicate activities, risks, and challenges.

• Collaborate with technical departments, business units, and strategic areas.

• Facilitate workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing data maturity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with data catalog and data management tools such as GCP DataPlex and OpenMetadata is essential.

• Practical experience in Data Governance processes, including metadata management and enablement, data quality, data stewardship, and MDM.

• Understanding of data lineage, data access management, data discovery, and data incident management.

• Basic knowledge of data ingestion processes.

• Experience in cloud data migration projects is advantageous; familiarity with GCP is a plus.

• Project management experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of Power BI is beneficial, particularly in defining visualization requirements for departmental metrics.

• Intermediate SQL skills are advantageous, including the ability to extract, transform, and analyze data.

• Intermediate experience with Python is a plus.
