This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive enterprise data governance efforts that enhance data trust, transparency, ownership, and accountability.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to establish and manage business terms, technical metadata, critical data elements, data lineage, and ownership structures.
• Oversee and improve governance platforms such as Collibra.
• Implement governance processes for data stewardship, issue management, data classification, and governance controls.
• Develop and enhance data quality monitoring and automated validation solutions utilizing SQL, Python, Databricks, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Identify the root causes of data quality challenges and execute sustainable solutions in collaboration with data engineering, analytics, and business teams.
• Articulate and disseminate governance standards, policies, procedures, and practical guidance.
• Create governance metrics, dashboards, and communications for leadership.
• Assess agentic and generative AI capabilities to boost governance automation while ensuring adherence to responsible AI practices.
• Lead governance working sessions, stewardship forums, and discussions with stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for data definitions, validation methods, metadata standards, governance processes, and operational models.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and partners regarding data governance, metadata, data quality, and responsible AI governance.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, metadata management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with large-scale healthcare data, including claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, or clinical data.
• Proficient SQL skills, with experience in data analysis, quality issue investigation, and automated validation solution development.
• Experience utilizing Python for data analysis, automation, monitoring, or governance workflows.
• Familiarity with Databricks or a similar cloud analytics platform.
• Proven experience in implementing or managing a data governance platform such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or comparable solutions.
• Working knowledge of data stewardship, metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, policy governance, and data quality practices.
• Capability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data science, business analytics, healthcare informatics, or a related discipline (preferred).
• If working remotely, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed.
