This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Assist in the development of quarterly risk committee reporting packages for Executive Management and Board-level committee oversight.
• Design, update, and enhance data visualizations that convey key risk trends and insights.
• Convert stakeholder requirements into dashboards, reports, and visualizations utilizing Archer, Power BI, or other reporting platforms.
• Pinpoint opportunities to enhance usability, clarity, automation, and insight.
• Conduct recurring data validation, table refreshes, and checks for data quality in reporting.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and technical partners to resolve data issues and support updates to source systems or tables.
• Enhance ETL processes, refresh data models, and manage recurring data workflows.
• Offer stakeholder education, reporting guidance, and continuous support for dashboards and reports.
• Address reporting inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and assist stakeholders in interpreting data outputs and findings.
• Document reporting actions, design choices, processes, controls, and the overall reporting strategy.
• Take ownership of tasks and challenges faced in the assigned role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Science / Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years or more of experience in banking, enterprise risk management, operational risk, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and modifying reports, dashboards, data models, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Experience working with large datasets, multiple source systems, and recurring reporting processes.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms like Archer, including report management, data fields, layouts, or related configurations is preferred.
• Background in financial services, banking, or another regulated industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen focus on data accuracy, completeness, and reporting detail.
• Capacity to synthesize complex data into clear, concise insights.
• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, DAX, Snowflake, or similar reporting and data management tools.
• Ability to establish, adhere to, and document recurring reporting routines, controls, and governance standards across various stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effective interaction with all levels of Management.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in communicating in person, over the phone, and through electronic channels.
• Capacity to frequently use a computer, including typing and maintaining focus on a monitor.
• Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods.
• Capability to bend and reach.
• Reliable internet connection is required (cable or fiber preferred; mobile hotspots are not acceptable).
