Data Entry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of incoming documentation via the fax queue

• Assess and categorize inbound faxed documents, which include clinical notes, diagnostic reports, insurance authorizations/denials, lab/pathology results, demographic sheets, medical records requests, radiology orders, and legal/workers' compensation/attorney documentation

• Upload documents into patient records, direct them to the relevant departments, or initiate necessary follow-up processes

• Identify and authenticate patient records while addressing duplicate accounts/records

• Input and verify demographic details along with insurance and billing information across different payer categories

• Examine and validate orders/referrals for completeness and precision, including modality, body part, contrast, laterality, ICD-10 coding, urgency status, and provider comments

• Verify referring provider information and submit requests for updates (RPDs)

• Initiate follow-up communication with referring physicians and/or patients

• Assist with cross-departmental administrative projects and initiatives

• Engage in training, audits, and activities aimed at process improvement

• Provide backup support for related administrative tasks during peak periods or in the absence of team members

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service and/or data entry

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.

• Proficient in using computer systems and skilled in typing

• Capability to operate a multi-level phone system, managing a high volume of calls simultaneously

• Background in medical terminology is preferred

• Preferably two (2) years of experience in customer service and data entry

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid Driver's License with 4 points or less

• Access to reliable transportation and auto insurance
