This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Create annotation standards and workflows for training and evaluation datasets.
• Oversee annotation operations and ensure data quality.
• Develop, tailor, and manage annotation tools.
• Gather data from customer datasets, public resources, and other pertinent sources.
• Construct, organize, and uphold datasets for AI model development.
• Evaluate model outputs and analysis results to identify initial accuracy or data quality concerns.
• Offer feedback to engineers and researchers based on data and model evaluations.
• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines that encompass data collection, preprocessing, and storage.
• Administer metadata across datasets and data pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with data security and personal information protection regulations.
• Work closely with engineers and AI researchers to enhance data quality and model performance.
• Proven experience in designing and managing data collection, preparation, or annotation workflows.
• Basic proficiency in data processing and data pipeline development using SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
• Capability to consistently manage and maintain high-quality datasets.
• Regular use of AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools in daily development.
• Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese communication, including the ability to discuss technical development topics in Japanese.
• Must reside and work in Japan.
• Preferred: Experience in developing or customizing annotation tools, including web application development.
• Preferred: Experience in building datasets or designing evaluation processes for Machine Learning projects.
• Preferred: Experience in creating data platforms on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Preferred: Experience in annotating images, drawings, documents, or other forms of unstructured data.
